TOWN CENTRE – THE CONTRACTS FIASCO

It would appear that the Labour party in Darlington is doing its level best to match its Labour comrades in Westminster for incompetence.  The ‘Pedestrian Heart’ town centre ‘revamp’ resulted in a contracts fiasco that has left Darlington taxpayers to foot the £780,000 bill for a damaged gas main.  As usual its been left up to the Conservatives to clear up the mess and bring change to the project management process.
