So the Labour Party has chosen one of their Councillors and a former Personal Assistant to Alan Milburn as their candidate for the election.  A representative of the same tired Labour Council that has failed Darlington so miserably over the years.  A Labour Council that:

• Overspent on a road to nowhere to the tune of £1.6million;
• Was responsible for a £780,000 town centre fiasco;
• Withdrew concessionary bus fares from pensioners;
• Stood idly by whilst post offices closed across the town;
• Continues to spend taxpayers money on Labour Party propoganda otherwise known as the ‘Town Crier’;
• Has run up record and unprecedented levels of debt.

Soon the people of Darlington will have an opportunity to cast their judgment on this track record.
